- Gloucester Grace go with you, sir.

- (Alarum and retreat within. Enter Edgar)
- l5l Edgar Away, old man. Give me thy hand. Away.
- l6l King Lear hath lost, he and his daughter taÆen.
- l7l Give me thy hand. Come on.
- l8l Gloucester No further, sir. A man may rot even here.
- l9l Edgar What, in ill thoughts again? Men must endure
